SWS - A Sound Not A System

SWS is a berlin-based sound and label (Sound With Soul) combining a great bandwidth of (mostly) caribbean music in a creative and danceable way.

SWS is Sebastian and Dawee. Selector Sebastian is focused on playing early digital and modern dancehall, reggaeton and soca and certain rap. He is also the creator of the Sound With Soul productions. Selector and MC Dawee is the specialist for Foundation, Ska, Rocksteady and modern Roots in every aspect but likes as well to play a tough bashment set from time to time.

The sound was founded in 2003. It soundtracked various parties in different european cities like Hamburg (Germany), Dresden (Germany), Linz (Austria), Munich (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), Bern (Swiss), Mannheim (Germany), Wiesbaden (Germany) ... and of course Berlin (Germany).

After the great success of the two rocksteady mixtapes by Selecta Dawee, the third edition of our SWS Reggae History Mixes going to hit the streets in a few weeks.

This time, it's all about the early Jamaican Ska era and once again you will find certain hits, rare tunes and original dubplates on the mix.

So make sure to get your copy as soon as this one's out, cause it's SWS quality as you know it!

German Reggae Charts 2007	13.02.2008
In the German Reggae Charts the label SWS was able to place 3 tunes in the top100 over the year 2007. This makes SWS No. 10 in the label charts for reggae in Germany. We thank all our friends, partners and fans for their support. There will be more in 2008.

After the huge succes of part 1 of our Crazy Night Riddim the 2nd part will be released on 7" in January 2008 - almost one year after the first one.
Artists on part 2 are Papa San, Ninjaman, Admiral Bailey, Frankie Paul, Junior Cat, Tippa Irie and VolkanikMan & Don Sharicon.
As a small preview we present you the Killing Night Mix 2k8 with 3 killing tunes from the new selection plus approx. half an hour of SWS Dubplates.
