SWS | Reloaded

Being in the sound biz’ since 2003, SWS aka the SOUND WITH SOUL from Berlin is proud to announce "SWS RELOADED" - a new crew, new mixes & new kind of entertainment!

First of all, we would like to present to you our new crew:

SWS Crew
  • Count Shortleg: "Count Short-blodclaat-leg": He is a selector, remixer and Soca expert in one person. He is part of the crew since 2009.
  • Dawee "The Reggae Ambassador": Joining SWS in 2004, Dawee has ever since played mad shows all around the globe. Working and living abroad now, he often represents SWS as a one-man army (MC & Selecta).
  • DJ High Towa “The Netto-Youth”: The newest SWS recruit joined the sound in 2012. After performing only for a short time, he already buzzed many parties in Berlin with his unique style, both as Selecta and as MC!
  • DJ Silent Pressure: "The Mixmaster": Before joining the crew in 2010, he was playing music for more than 6 years. And besides organizing several regular parties in Berlin (BassDive, BambooBass) he is a notorious hardcore juggler!
  • Sebastian "The Soundfather": Sebastian started SWS in 2002/3 and ever since has played, remixed and composed almost any kind of caribbean and other music. He is the producer, sound engineer, selector and father of the sound.
  • As Selectress Ziala will stop being an active member of the SWS crew, we want to thank her for her contributions to our sound and for her continuing support!

Secondly, we want to let you know why we are doing "SWS Reloaded": Over the past years, private lives of our sound members have changed and so has the Reggae/Dancehall scene in Germany. We want to adapt to these changes by strengthening our efforts in the local & national scene with more engagement, more dances, more mixtapes & participation in soundclash(es) [promoters out there!]. Our goals: a) Providing best musical entertainment with a focus on Caribbean and urban music by making use of the diversity of our sound members and b) Returning to our old strength!

Sound With Soul Productions
The Sound With Soul started producing riddims in 2004 and released its first EP in 2006. Since then, we brought a number of highly praised productions (i.e. Crazy Night Riddim in 2006) to you with some of the biggest Jamaican Dancehall stars like Papa San, Ninja Man, Chaka Demus and Pliers but also local artists like Ronny Trettmann or VolkanikMan. Since the music business has changed a lot over the past years, we decided to concentrate on high quality remixes instead of riddim releases.
